Holiday spots, bathed in summer warmth and sunshine, bustle with vitality for part of the year but present a very different face in the off-season. Although at first glance they appear abandoned and bleak, I find there is a sort of beauty in their melancholy. Is it a well earned state of repose, memories of good times past or a patient promise of future bliss?
